Please refer to the following sections for specific instructions in case of an emergency.
🔥 in case of Fire
Stay calm.
If the fire is small and can be safely controlled, use the fire extinguisher 🧯 located on the landing outside the entrance door 🚪.
If the fire cannot be immediately controlled, leave the apartment immediately, closing the door behind you.
Call the Fire Brigade on 115 (or 112) and inform your Host.
🫨 in case of Earthquake
Stay calm. Do not run outside during the earthquake.
Take shelter under a sturdy table or in a safe doorway, away from windows and objects that could fall.
If you are outdoors, move away from buildings, walls, trees and utility poles.
Once the shaking has stopped, follow the instructions of the emergency services and leave the building if necessary.
🚬 Smoke Detector Activation
If the smoke detector (located above the kitchen table) is activated, first check whether there is actually smoke or a fire in the apartment.
🔥 If there is a fire: follow the fire emergency procedure above.
⚠️ If it is a false alarm (for example, caused by cooking smoke):
Open the windows and ventilate the room.
To temporarily silence/reset the alarm, press the central button using the broom handle if necessary.
Do not remove the battery.
Please inform the Host.
💨 Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Detector Activation
If the CO₂ detector is activated, do not ignore the alarm.
Immediately open doors and windows to ventilate the apartment.
Leave the apartment and move to fresh air.
Inform the Host immediately.
⚠️ CO₂ is an odourless gas and can be dangerous at high concentrations.
